Better Get Glowing

With Summer quickly (more like finally) approaching, it's time to say goodbye to dull, dry, winter skin. I don't know about you, but those cold winter months definitely take a toll on my skin. After multiple trial and errors, I've narrowed down the three skincare products that I swear by, to give my skin a bright summer glow. Adding these into your regular skincare routine will seriously transform your skin. SO... get ready to glow, by following these three simple steps below! (I like a good rhyme every now and then)

Step 1 - ExfoliKate

Known as "Hollywood's 2 minute facial," Kate Somerville's ExfoliKate Treatment is the perfect cross between a physical and a chemical exfoliator. It's packed with botanical ingredients like Lactic Acid (a natural AHA exfoliant) Salicylic Acid (a BHA that promotes moisture absorption) Vitamins A & C (anti-oxidants) Vitamin E & Honey (both help smooth the skin) Pineapple, Pumpkin, & Papaya enzymes (naturally exfoliates without over-drying) A lengthy ingredient list, like this one, might irritate skin that is more sensitive (cough cough... me) so I only use this product once or twice a week. (Side note - there's a gentle version of ExfoliKate that you can find here) I'll apply two pea-sized amounts onto my skin and massage it in circles for about 30 seconds. Then, I'll let sit for about a minute and a half. Truthfully, that's all my skin needs to get a glowing look when I rinse it off. The price is definitely on the higher end, but in my opinion, this is the next best thing to going to California & getting a facial from Kate Somerville herself... YES, it's worth the investment.

Step 2 - Youth To The People

I'll admit it - I'm a facial serum junkie. BUT, I do have to say that this Superfood Serum by Youth To The People is a top contender. The ingredients have proven, through research, to visibly brighten the skin. The Vitamin C in this serum helps even out skin tone, and the Tripeptide 5 visibly improves the skin's firmness. And... Kale? Believe it or not, kale contains anti-inflammatory and skin-repairing properties! The only issue with this serum is the clear glass bottle that it comes in. The Vitamin C and peptide ingredients are sensitive to light, so it would be best to keep this serum stored in a drawer.

Step 3 - Peach & Lily Pure Beam Luxe Oil

This Korean-beauty inspired facial oil is the last step of my skincare routine, and it's great for all skin types. Peach & Lily Pure Beam Luxe Oil is a blend of Jojoba Seed Oil (moisturizing & balancing, repairs the skin) Squalane Oil (anti-oxidant rich, regulates oil production, moisturizing) Grapeseed Oil (evens skin tone) Camellia Japonica Seed Oil (omega-6 fatty acids prevent premature aging, intense moisture) Sea Buckthorn Oil (promotes skin regeneration) The cold-pressed oil blend is natural, plant-based, & strengthens your skin's protective lipid barrier. Plus, look how cute their packaging is!

Overall, my skin has felt an incredible difference since discovering these products. Of course I use other products in combination with the three I've listed above, and I would consider these products as add-ons to my regular, everyday skincare routine. The results will of course differ between skin types, but just for reference - I have combination skin. These three magic products leave my skin visibly smoother, hydrated and glowing, even when I wake up in the morning. :) Thanks for reading! x
